Remarks 1.Though the zoo is located in hear of residential area, and has temple and school on its boundary, thus it is suggested to provide appropriate screening and buffer area of atleast 10 mts all around with special emphasis in north wall (School area) of the zoo and 5 meters towards east wall. Tall trees like Casurina, Bamboo and Silver oak may be considered for these Buffer Zones. 2.Ganesh Temple present in the vicinity should be kept outside the zoo premises. 3.i) Master Layout Plan along with Animal Collection plan should be submitted to the Central Zoo Authority for approval latest by 30th November 2013. (ii) Reptiles should be given priority in first phase of master plan giving concern to Snakes, Crocodiles, Lizards, Turtles and Tortoises. In the second phase. Display of Amphibian, Mollusks, Arachnid, Beetles, Millipede, Centipede and other insects shall also be considered. 4.Records to be maintained about the persons who bring rescued animals to the zoo. Their proper identification and contact numbers be noted. 5.Since the use of Pit enclosures is stopped, one of the pits may be demolished and other may be converted into sitting area for children. 6.The existing monkey hill where the water level be elevated by constructing the wall. The guava plants should be removed. Visitor area should be reduced at one end and adjoining area may be considered for Gharial Exhibit. This will create good habitat for both the species. 7.Keeper’s Diary be written daily, supervised by veterinarian and curator with final remarks of the zoo director. 8.Anti Snake venom serum should be made available at the main gate in case of emergency after closing hours of the zoo
